How cheap are cheap rv’s?

It was in the summer of 2005 when two hurricanes swept through the gulf of the United States putting hundreds and thousands of people along the coast out of their homes. Thus, the issue of putting up immediate, cheap and affordable housing became one of the primary subjects that was brought up in the minds and hearts of the nation.

Though the images of cheap recreational vehicles turned into temporary mobile homes in the sprawling community parks mainly consisting of trailers was the quick answer to the problem of homelessness brought about by natural calamities, these same images also brought about a negative perception about the recreational vehicles of today.

Believe it or not, such perception and opinion of recreational vehicles also reinforced the idea that such temporary housing options are out dated. Currently, the option of most Americans is to live in homes that are manufactured. Such homes are quite different from homes that are built on site. Currently, such homes are able to provide millions of good Americans a permanent resident.

The options provided by such homes prompted local policies, as well as State practices, recognize that manufactured homes – not recreational vehicles turned mobile homes – as a creative and affordable way to solve the country’s crisis in housing.
In the United States market, the manufactured housing industry is currently an overlooked aspect, though such a problem involves approximately ten million American families.

Housing that is manufactured represents one of the means for American households that are currently low income. If done appropriately, manufactured homes could actually resemble homes that are built on site in terms of look as well as feel, plus the price is lower.
Originally though, cheap recreational vehicles or more popularly known as trailers used for the purpose of travel are the number one option for mobile homes immediately after the second world war.

Though such cheap recreational vehicles turned into mobile homes currently exist, the manufacturing plants that built such vehicles changed and created a product that is different using a factory process that homes that are built affixed on the foundation site and not moved.

However, the idea of cheap recreational vehicles turned mobile homes is still considered as a relative of the automobile, and so they are taxed and insured the same way that cars are, and not as permanent homes that just happened to have wheels.

All in all, cheap recreational vehicles are affordable to everyone but not without the usual risks involved. But it does serve a purpose and if you are willing to take the chance, go ahead. It is your choice.

Which is better: class a or class b recreational vehicles?

How whould one know which recreational vehicle is the best for their needs? Whould a class A vehicle be good for them or a class b one? There are many advantages and disadvantages of class A as well as class B recreational vehicles. They are the following:

Why class b?

A class b van used for camping is one type of recreational vehicle that is able to retain the usefulness of a family-van as well as a sports utility vehicle. All this is done while the RV is able to provide a motorized home that is contained in itself and has qualities and characteristics that are similar to a lot of the other vehicles that are bigger.

Driving is easy in class b

Believe it or not, class b vehicles are a lot more convenient as well as easy to park, drive and fit in small spots off the road. Doing all these would prove to be very difficult if done by a larger vehicle.

Another plus of driving a class b vehicle is that it gets better gas milage. Also, a class b vehicle proves to be a quick drive. It also has parts that are a lot easier to find.

Why not class b?

Unfortunately, a van used for camping also has its disadvantages. Usually, such vans are a bit more expensive per square foot, unless of course the more luxurious vehicles are converted into buses.

Small, interior class b recreational vehicle conversions are typically best for two people, especially if they are used just for the weekend. Unfortunately, there are appliances ready to be replaced that are quite difficult to purchase in a cheap price because such parts are sized using a smaller interior.

So why class a?

Similarly, there are advantages of class A vehicles. For one, class A recreational vehicles are more popular. Plus, there are more units to choose from that are fresh from the factory. There are also used recreational vehicles that are in relatively good shape. However, the new ones are probably safier.

Affordable class a recreational vehicles

Believe it or not, class a recreational vehicles could be easily purchased via financing. Plus, insurance is easy to purchase for these types of vehicles.
Another added advantage of a recreational vehicle is that they usually have a good record of repairs.

All in all, the purchase of a recreational vehicle be it a class b or class a, depends on one’s own needs, wants as well as purchasing power. At the end of the day, it all depends on you.

Custom made RV’s by Kingsley

So you have decided that you should purchase – and probably could just as well afford – a recreational vehicle that is luxurious and custom made to fit your lifestyle as well as your taste and needs.

Where and who should you go to for those custom made recreational vehicles? The best place to go for that experience in creating RV’s that are custom made is Kingsley Coach.

Believe it or not, Kingsley Coach will be there to assist you from the conception of your highly specialized recreational vehicle to its completion, as well as beyond.

Kingsley Coach has a design center where you have the convenience and the luxury to choose from a wide variety of options depending on your recreational vehicle desires and needs. You have the choice on how to decide on the details about the full recreational vehicle kitchen, the colors of the interior as well as in the flooring.

Plus, this may be hard to believe but, Kingsley Coach is also capable of designing the units of your garage as well as the space for trade shows. In Kingsley Coach, you will – more often than not – find exactly what you need for your own personalized, custom made recreational vehicle.

You can even choose the paint on the exterior of your custom built recreational vehicle. Kingsley Coach, upon your request, could build on your own chassis or on theirs.
Kingsley Coach chassis’ include the following: Kenworth, Freightliner, Peterbilt. Just in case you cannot – in any way – make any design work with Kingsley Coach, they will help you – believe it or not – work with whoever is the RV customizer you choose.

However, the recreational vehicles made and created by Kingsley Coach are extremely up to date and are really nothing like anyone has ever seen. This is primarily because the recreational vehicles made by Kingsley Coach basically starts out using a chassis of a truck. The engine of the Kingsley Coach custom made recreational vehicle is found in the front, not under the bed.

Kingsley Coach has been able to design recreational vehicles for a variety of purposes, including NASCAR and the Semipro Team.

All in all, the experience of Kingsley Coach is a definite advantage to someone considering to custom make their recreational vehicles. All they need are your wants, needs, ideas and they will get themselves to work on your creative behalf

Keep in touch even when camping out

How should you do just that when you are outdoors and away from all the amenities and convenience of civilization?

Easy, there are various ways and means as well as gears that are available to cater to a camper’s every need.

The following are tips and advice to make keeping in touch during camping as easy as a-b-c.

Set boundaries and follow them

Camping, especially if there are kids around, could be quite a complicated activity. To make it less complex and safe, try to set some boundaries in and around the campsite. Advise campers, especially kid campers, what are the things they should do and not do with or without an adult. Usually, an effective method is requiring kids to always be with a buddy. This could be an assigned partner where one could check in on each other on where the other’s location is, or update the rest of the group of any location changes.

Familiarize with the surroundings

Once one has arrived in the camp, make sure that you and the campers immediately familiarize yourself with the surroundings. Try to take note of any noticeable landmarks that are around. A large tree perhaps,, yet make sure these landmarks are locatable in relation within the campsite.

Whistle, whistle, whistle

Give each camper, especially children campers, with their very own whistle. Establish a code for specific situations that everyone could easily follow and heed. For example, a whistle blown two times could be established to mean “help.” Whistles that are blown three times could mean “I am here.”

Color your world

Or at least, have campers carry trash bags that are colored brightly. Once lost, these bags could be used as a device to signal to the others your location. Also, the bags could be used during an emergency like when it is cold outside and they need temporary shelter. Simply cut a slit at the bag’s top and have it pull it through their heads. Believe it or not, this plastic bag could serve as an effective albeit temporary protection that could keep a kid camper alive through the night.

Choose a camp that provides high-tech communication

Believe it or not, there are camp sites that provide campers the same amenities one would usually find in civilization. Email facilities, fax as well as phone equipments are available in a New Zealand camp site called Old Macdonalds. That is if you prefer to surf the internet while enjoying the comfort and glory of the natural outdoors.

This type of camp is perfect for those who might want to be in touch with their business or personal affairs while at the camping grounds. This type of camp strikes a balance between the rugged outdoors and the comfort and convenience of modern technology.

Make use of high-tech communication gears
If you really want to stay connected, utilize modern technology through the following gears:

Hand-held radios. This equipment is very handy now-a-days and so could be easily transportable anywhere and anytime campers need to communicate with each other. Currently though, such an equipment is also used not just in camping but also by families that are out shopping or attending a large sports event.

Laser Range finders are now just as handy as radios. Though they were once large and difficult to actually use, today’s finders are light, user-friendly and extremely accurate. Believe it or not, these laser range finders are also used in golfing.

Global positioning system. Currently, units that have gps are used by the military and units involved in search and rescue operations. Though these equipments have features that are high-tech, they are still easy to operate and very user friendly.

Night vision goggles. The movies are not the only place this equipment could be seen and used. These devices are now readily available. Though these equipments are sophisticated, they are very easy to use, weighs light, and is compact and handy.

All in all, staying in touch while camping out may be a bit difficult if you have no idea how to go about it. To be able to avoid this, prepare beforehand the equipments, rules and stuff you need to go through. Camping should be fun. Ample preparation adds to enjoyment and lessens the stress.
